Was jus wondering how Linkin Park came up with this name for their song .... Figure.09 ... what xactly does it mean and how did they come up with it?
I think there was a thread on this already and I think they just liked the name. There was some speculation about placement on the album, etc. but I think everyone agreed that they just liked the name and called it that. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong!
All songs start off with what are called 'Working Titles', they are funny/stupid/nonsensical names the band gives the songs they are working on. Figure.09 was one of the working titles they thought sounded cool. So they kept it.
i'm sure they titled the other songs just like that...i mean like figure.07., figure.08, figre.09, figure.10...and so on, nothing special.
yeah, it's a working title that sort of stuck, so they kept it ... along with session and faint, and maybe more, i don't know. i like the name figure.09. it's ... random . alright, sorry if this is sort of off topic, but while we're on the topic, is it probable that And One is a working title as well? i just want to make sure, 'cause it doesn't seem to have any meaning.
Yeah and what about Carousel??? [/b][/quote] They say Carousel in the song. Smart one. Working Titles: Papercut, Points of Authority.
figure.09 is because it was originally meteora´s track 9 ( a.06 was track 6 ) so when lp removed a.06 figure 09 fell to the 8th spot (clear?)
Not necessarily. Just because they are numbered like so doesn't mean anything. They're working titles, and a lot of times the titles don't mean anything. Sick (Don't Stay) doesn't have a number in it, but it doesn't mean that the song is sick. Also notice that there's no number there. It hasn't been confirmed, so there's no way to tell why it's named so. And to the one who suggested that the songs were Figure.07, etc. You're wrong. Faint was named as it originally was, Don't Stay was Sick, and Breaking The Habit was Drawing.
