I had a couple of questions about some rare/unreleased tracks; 1) Can anyone confirm that LP covered NIN's "Something I Can Never Have" and that a mp3 exists of it? 2) What format does Korn and Chester's "Head Like A Hole" exist in? i.e. is it just live or a studio track that was never released? Thanks.
LP covered NIN-Wish on several shows and put it on the LPU 4.0 CD but I don't think 'Something I Can Never Have' was ever covered which would 99% mean it was never an MP3. Korn and Chesters cover of Head Like A Hole has already been made but it hasn't been released,it will be released on Korns upcoming Korn Kovers album. Hope this helps
Here's something more in depth. 1) Something I Can Never Have was not a cover. It was played over the PA to set a mode for there shows. They started doing it around the Meteora World Tour. There is one Mp3 from the Lisbon, Portugal Show in 2004 during Super Rock Bock. 2)The Korn Kover's track was planned and delayed. But later on the project was put back on. This cover is a studio cover and is not yet released as of now.
I shudder every time someone mentions that Linkin Park covered Nine Inch Nails. I'll give them props though. Atleast they took the road less traveled and covered a Pre-Downward Spiral song, or a Post-Pretty Hate Machine song. Which means everyone should cover the fuck out of the Broken album.

Pretty much. There's actually two recordings that exsist to my knowledge. One is from The Meteora World Tour (I think the Englewood Show) and the Lisbon version.
Did you like the cover? I thought it was pretty good! "Something I Can Never Have" was only used as an intro for Linkin Park, it was not covered. I've yet to hear a bootleg.
There's one from Rock Am Ring too, just not the DVD version, but it was on the original webcast. And I think the Meteora World Tour show rip with it was Rosemont, not sure.

[/b][/quote] That's because the 'DvD' version is the TV rip of the show. The TV rip only had the opening track, not the 5 mins of stuff before it. The actual full show started with them testing the numb samples, then 'Something I Can Never Have' came over the PA. Then my computer rebooted for no reason as SOON as it started. Fucking windows.
