Poker is taking over the world. It's true. It seems as if everyone is playing it nowadays. It's all over the tvs and internet. Do you play poker? What kind? With friends or online? How long have you been playing? Favorite poker sites? And stories? Share your thoughts. I've been playing Hold 'Em poker since last October with a group of firends. We get together almost every weekend, put $5 in each as a buy-in, and play for hours on end for a final jackpot rnaging from between $50-$75. It's alot of fun to just sit down with friends and compete while talking and laughing. I find it really relaxing. Now, as for my winnings, that's another story. The first game I played, I came second and got my $5 back (or as they call it; "fin-back"). I then came second the third and fifth games. But since then, I keep getting knocked out beforte the final two. It's usually because I get absolutely robbed of a pot by better cards. Sometimes I get out full-housed, etc. It's just that when I get knocked out, you can never blame me for going all in on my hand. It's become so reoccurent that they've deemed anytime someone gets robbed by slightly better hands usually on the turn or river a "Norman", or as a verb; "Normaned". I'd say I've played about 15 games and won $15 dollars. A net loss of $60 over 5 months. I use PokerRoom.com for my online poker needs. PokerStars sucks.
I'm addicted to Poker. I don't have an addiction to gambeling however. I will seriously just play a three hour long poker match just for the hell of it.
