Well, since no one made the topic and since the other one is closed, here it is. If you are going to whine about how you can't hear it, I cordially invite you to go fuck yourself. Now that that's been said, I personally have not heard it yet, so I have no opinion. But yeah, go ahead and discuss the song.
I think it's pretty cool, it's sucks that you haven'theard it, but I just dont like how there's no heavy guitar or yelling or anything really LP in there, but it's still pretty cool
Like I said in the other post, I do not see what is so special about this track. The first time I heard it I was in a shock. The second time, I started to dislike it. Overall though, DJ Z-Trip did a good job and Chester's vocals are A+.
I agree, it's nothing special. Everyone was saying in that topic that the lyrics are so dark and shit, but then when I listened to it, I thought the lyrics were cliche and cheesy. The chorus gets on my fucking nerves.
I think it's great, it's nice to have a break from scream-Chester. Props to LPA and Broken-Silence for the player, BTW.
I really love this song. The lyrics are quite cool and the whole mood in the song is just awesome. Please LP, produce such a song on your new record.
Everybody's whining because the song happens to be a lot 'prettier' than what we've heard from Linkin Park in the past (thanks in part to Z-Trip's wonderful instrumental). People think that because the lyrics are about love, they're not as dark as Meteora. No, they are indeed darker, even if the mood of the song isn't the "I hate you" angsty-ish mood we've come to expect from Chester in the past. The whole theme of the song from what I can interpret is Chester singing about a dead person. It all makes sense from the 'digging in the dirt' verse in the song. To me that was almost kind of chilling, because since when has LP ever sung about someone who's dead? It might not have 'break your face in' guitars, and throat ripping screams from Chester, but lyrically is a lot better then Meteora. I hardly find the chorus cliche at all, infact it's my favorite part of the song to sing out loud to, and embarass myself to cause I suck at singing. I think Z-Trip's samples were really nice and fit the mood just right, and personally? I'm glad Chester didn't scream this time around. Think of it, almost every song we've heard from Linkin Park, and from Chester off the CD has had some form of scream/scream-singing on it. It's about time it showed off Chester's higher/softer vocal range. We don't hear that a lot and it certainly was a treat. Sure it's not the most powerful Chester track we've ever heard, but to me its a nice thing to listen to when I'm on the computer. It's pretty, but not boring.
well put, Derek. I agree totally. Yeah this track rocks and DJ Z-Trip did a great job with it (as did chester) everyone's so amazed by Chaz's vocal ablity that they are overlooking Z-trip's work. His stuff is brilliant.
The actual music is darker than anything LP has done, yeah, but that's thanks to DJ Z-Trip. As for this song being lyrically better than anything on Meteora...I know the lyrics on Meteora weren't amazing or anything, but I mean, in my opinion atleast, the lyrics to this song aren't that extremely well thought-out and smart. In other words, I don't think it's lyrically better than Meteora. I'm not trying to downplay anything you guys did to get this song or anything. It's great that you'd do anything to get new music for us, but I just don't think it's a strong track. I'd take Meteora over this anyday, but you can hardly compare the two, since it's not Linkin Park. Eh.
Walking Dead is one of my addicted songs now coz the lyrics were awesome and the way Chester sings the song is really nice
