P.O.D.'s show on the Meteora world tour was very energetic and fun. The band is right on. But Sunny(vocalist) really stinks live. It seems like he misses every other word. The only song that I thought he did great on was Southtown. Hoobastank was awful on the MWT as well. They always look like they aren't really in to it and the vocalist is out of breath for the entire show. I saw Blindside on Projekt Revoloution and they reeked.
One Man Army (no energy at all...of course this was as of '03. maybe they got better) New Found Glory (it might just be the fact that I don't usually like them, but I thought they sounded icky)
Misfits (at least when they came to my town), POD, franz ferninad, and my chemical romance! their all good on cd tho
The only bands I've seen live that i didnt like too much was The Used on PR:04 and Godsmack on 10/22/04 when they opened for Metallica. Both bands vocals stunk live, but at least the instruments were pretty good for Godsmack, the Used just killed some of their songs.
The Starting Line were absolutly death to your ears. and New Found Glory at Warped Tour was just depressing to listen to.
Okay, so here's why Pillar is going on the worst list. When I saw them at Quake, the kick drum absolutely drowned everything out. Not to say that you should avoid seeing them live at all costs, but that specific performance was brought down severely thanks to the kick.
Hoobastank played amazing here... I liked 'em. My list: Evanescence P.O.D. Story Of The Year Man Made God And I know I'm forgetting a couple...
Evanescence. Amy Lee's voice tends to mess up the odd time (because of all the stress) and she gets out of breath frequently.
Lostprophets were awful when I saw them on the UK leg of the Meteora Tour. But that was almost two years ago.
When I seen Hoobastank live they kicked ass. Two bands that I didnt care for were P.O.D. and Chevelle, when I see Chevelle they had way to much bass that drowned out the guitar and the backing vocals were louder the lead.
Just depends on when/where you're hearing 'em. The vocals were amazing on the Meteora World Tour here in Dallas -- and I haven't met another person who's said otherwise from that show. On the other hand, I know people who saw them different times who said they sucked live... and I've seen them suck on TV, but the show I went to was good
slipknot has amazing concerts, except for when they first started touring. coreys voice at the time was not full blown like it is today. he had a hard time screaming at the right times and when he did it wasnt that great. but now they are a lot better.
Story of the Year were amazing when I saw them at the 2003 Warped Tour. And this is coming from someone who didn't like the album.
totally agree! my list: AWK Deftones The Used Breaking Benjamin Unwritten Law Tsunami Bomb Incubus Hazen Street Christenson Silver Tide ok, that is a big enough list
