Found this site on a website I frequently visit, just thought you might like it. It plays two songs by Nickelback, "This is how you remind me" and "Someday". When played together, you can notice how similar they are. couldn't believe how similar it was. http://www.thewebshite.net/nickelback.htm
I kind of like the way the two sound together, but I like weird things like that. However, if you listen carefully, the tempo of "Someday" was increased a bit, the chord structure is slightly different, and parts of both songs were edited out in order to make them fit. So yes, they did recycle a bit, but it's not as bad as it seems.
Just so you know...the same thing has been done with Linkin Park songs. I believe the one I heard was Pushing me Away vs. Numb, but I can't remember. Formulaic songs are very common, but not necessarily a bad thing. In the end, if I like the music, I like the music, regardless of similarities or not.
It's not necessarily the recycling of a song, it could be the style of the band. Look at the song structure for most of Meteora.
is it weird that i think that when they're put together they are kick-ass? I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE TWO SONGS TOGETHER. lol I think it's 'pretty'
I liked Nikcelbacks first album, after that they were rubbish. this is hilarious though, it can get addictive at times as well. It's very catchy lol
