Well, it's funny you should say that, because that has happened to me before, and it nearly made me go kill myself. But you're right, I'm sure if that happened to everyone else, they'd be just fine. So many people have been affected, myself included, and hearing people laugh about it, childish or not, still cuts deep and makes me lose faith in society as a whole. And while people will be hurt by seeing the images on the news, at least the people broadcasting these images show sympathy, and aren't saying "Aha, look at those stupid ch*nks, swim asians swim!" And things to that effect. The difference is the blatant attitude that the song shows, and sickens me to the greatest degree.

Well said. If I lost a family member in the tsunami and read about the song, I'd be pretty pissed off and hurt. I wouldn't just shrug it off as a childish song. Heck, I haven't even lost a family member to the tsunamis, and I'm still offended.
the point isn't whether a person would or wouldn't be offended the point is that this song is capable of offending people, and therefore this shouldn not have been done however, these people who made this song are able to do so because of the first amendment sometimes the Constitution doesn't do justice
i feel really offened my grandma did get killed by a tree :'( FUCK THE TSUNAMI SONG!...... its soo flippin pointless to even play this song! it makes us(me and my family) look bad... this is really rasict its horrible its true that the constutition states freedom of speech, but it would make more seince if it was at thier house and not affecting the state.. (even tho NY is about 4500 miles away) THEY ARE FRICKIN HEARLESS AND dont care. they should....D
the Constitution does say something about discrimination, and that each race shall be treated equally, but these people didn't really compare Asians to anyone else, therefore they were allowed to say whatever they wanted I think, however, that ch*nk is an extremely nasty word
