That's too bad. I love Nickelback. I hope that they find a good enough replacement.

Hopefully they'll get back to their original sound with this... I doubt it, since they didn't exactly get mainstream success with it, but I can hope :)

    Dan's page
The new drummer is Daniel Adair, so you don't have to worry about the quality of his music. Dan's leaving 3 Doors Down to join.... he'll be missed. I hope NB don't tone his style down.

Wherever he heard it he is correct, in today's edmonton sun newspaper, that is the report that Daniel Adair is replacing him. An official band spokesperson won't confirm these reports and is in fact denying any truth to them. But in the article written in the Edmonton Sun it comes straight fomr the mouth of Vikedel that Adair will be replacing him. Apparently this has been in the works for sometime that Adair wold be replacing him.

    Edmonton Sun

Also contrary to most reports on this, Vikedel says that he did not simply leave teh band but was fired by the band and was forced to leave. Vikeldel met with the band before christmas and everything to him seemed fine, then when he returned form holidays he was told his heart wasn't in it and that he was getting ousted. Should this be the truth, this is my final straw with Nikelback and the arrogance of the Kroeger brothers, especially Chad. I will no longer support them and definitely will not buy their next cd. Plus in my opinion, Nikelback has become one of the most over rated bands over the past year and a half.

I agree completely, I have never liked them their songs are very predictable if you know what i mean, Plus i dont like them as people, I HAVE met them and they were assholes, They looked as if they really didnt wanna be there and refused to shake my hand. If i was in a succesful band i would make sure my fans were always happy i would be eternally grateful to anyone who would be supporting my band and i certainly wouldnt act like that prick did (Mike)

Yep, Mike might seem all nice and easy going when you see him in interviews, but he's is definitely a prick on the outside.

I've never been a fan of Nickelback but their song "Because of You" I really love. It sounds very different to me than their usual style. Sounds almost like Metallica to me *shrug*.

I've always thought that Vikedal was an excellent drummer. Too bad (pardon the pun) for Nickelback. They're losing on this one.
