Well, I'm no Mark , but firstly, the guys have been on tour pretty much since Meteora was released, and they like to take the time to write meaningful songs, not just some song that sounds half decent, but makes no sense. Most bands nowadays release albums so often because they just crank 'em out no matter how crappy they are. I'd have to say that 8/10 albums released now is 2 singles, one good non single, and filler.

[/b][/quote] Thats all true actualy, percides if LP have been doing that for HT and Meteora and come out with excellent results for both of them including going Diamond for HT then I guess they're doing well writing music
Not sure if it counts for anything but if you go to the official LP website and click on 'Tour', you get a little message saying that, "Currently Linkin Park is at home working on their new record."
On the LPU message boards, this guy posted a supposive tracklisting for the new album he found on a german message board. More then likely someone made it up. To mess around with fans. However here it is for fun. 01. Awaking 02. Losing Faith 03. Trapped Deep Inside 04. Thougths Will Remain 05. Getting Through It 06. Silence 07. Silhouettes 08. Out Of Breath 09. Free Your Mind 10. Carrying The Weigth 11. Behind Those Lies 12. Waste of Emotions 13. Piece Of Mind 14. Reflections Some of the tracks sound like LP songs....then again, some of them dont
The track names sound liek somthing Mike woudl write about but, it got to be fake I cannot see them releasing it till late 2005 and they woudl only finalise the track listing like 3 months befour.
Well we all know he we want to produce it *coughMikecough.* But your right....that is very strange. I think now they are just working seperately on demos and havnt gotten to the recording studio as of yet. Or maybe they want to keep it secret...who knows
Well, they record the demos at Mike's home studios before going into the actual studios. And they're taking a break, doing random stuff with MusicForRelief, Mike's side-projects, etc. Joe's probably working on the script for King Rat. But, bad news. The songs for the LPU 4.0 cd were produced and mixed by guess who; Don Gilmore. Eek.

It's like millions of people cried out in pain, and were suddenly silenced. :chemist: Seriously, we need to go and kick Don out or something. Assassinate him, something. Of course that tracklisting is fake, everyone is out doing their own thing right now. MFR, individual stuff, etc.
i didn't really read through the entire thread, but there was an interview recently with chester for the music for relief thing and chester wasn't saying anything about the new album, all he was telling the interviewer was that he doesn't even feel like a linkin park member, he is a music for relief member.. all their attention and focus is on the MFR thing. ya know, my heart goes out to the victims, but god dammit, this is pissing me off, no one helped the U.S. when all our shit happened...... come on LP, let's make an album already, you guys kicked off the MFR, it's up and running, there's not much more we can do! GO GO GO!

you can't be serious. what you seem to forget is the fact that the US could easily pay off the damage that followed after 9/11. who has so much money for making war should be quiet when it comes to money questions... MFR is an organization that tries to get money because the areas in asia DONT have ANY money to even live comfortable. and you shouldnt forget that dozens of countries showed loyalty on 9/11.
I can definately say that those are fake. They've had no time to work on songs with Music For Relief, so there's no way that they would have a tracklisting.
Hey man, being an LP fan and all I understand how you feel about their next album. (i too can't wait) But Right now, with the MFR thing i think these are the times when they feel like being a musician takes a backseat to being human.
