i was wondering if any of you LPAers from the UK have ever gone to one of the fetivals? i went last year (LP didnt play) but there was some kick ass bands:

lostprophets, J-5, green day, razorlight, offspring, 50 cent and G-unit (lol), white stripes, darkness, funeral for a friend just to name a few! (i think FFAF left PR:04 for a few shows to play Leeds and Reading)

let me know what you think

I agree with Hellflame. Leeds & Reading had a suck ass line-up last year, it was disgusting. I actually sold my tickets because it was so bad, and then ended up missing Download anyway. Download is so much better, the majority of the bands at Leeds & Reading are some crappy ass punk/emo/indy shit. Not my thing at all.

Download on the other hand had a dozen bands that were worth watching. Anyway, despite the differences betweent the two, i'm looking forward (as always) to seeing the line-ups this year.

Also JJ87, you're right FFAF did come back from PR04 to perform at the Leeds & Reading festivals.

wow you guys are pretty tough if you wouldn't see that concert. the best concert i've ever seen was yellowcard+nfg+the vandals+rise against, and as you can see, that's crap. that's the kind of crap concerts we get in hawai`i. this leeds and reading thing sounds like a fucking super-concert compared to what i've had the opportunity to see.

i must admitt Leeds wasnt the best line up i have seen - was still good to be there though!

lets hope next year there will be some better and bigger name nands playing!

i can never get to go to download but i might have the chance this year round because the last couple of years i have had exams and stuff to do.

this year me and my mates are going to leeds so watch out for us if your going! lol
