Where are the people that are lovin' the hardcore and metalcore here? I'm talking bands like As I Lay Dying, Fear Before the March of Flames, Underoath, Norma Jean, The Chariot, Eighteen Visions, Atreyu, etc. Any suggestions for good bands or people that love hardcore? Yeahhhh. this is the discussion topic. xx_Post new bands that people may like. xx_Talk about others that aren't well known, or ones you like alot. ...Etc. etc. la de da. We know the deal. Let's get it gooooiinggg. I'm wondering if any of you guys know some bands I dont that I may like, I'm into everything from Senses Fail and underOATH to Unearth and It Dies Today, so yeah. Any suggestions?
<s>I don't know what Hardcore or Metalcore means.</s> Throwdown is the best hardcore band. ...All these genres are just popping up overnight, jesus christ.
you know its funny how i have just about all the bands you just named off. i have underoath, and norma jean, and as i lay dying. i mean to get the chariots cd though. i almost had it once but i was broke. oh and speaking of norma jean, they have a new cd due out sometime in march maybe...its called "oh God the aftermath." i intend to pick it up. but umm if you like those bands....check out a band called "staple". i really like em.
They've always existed. People just had to justify them by giving them names. Anyway, I listen to all that stuff. Even moreso now than before. I listen to so many hardcore/metalcore/screamo bands.

[/b][/quote] Eh, I can't see the difference in screamo and hardcore, myself, but whatever. I'm not a fan of any of the genres/bands, so that's probably why. And to this day, I'll never understand why 'emo' is a genre.

Have you heard the new Norma Jean? It's on their purevolume page. They got a new vocalist and don't sound as good imo. I'll check out Staple, though. Thanks
Anyways, so I got this Equal Vision Records Winter Sampler 2004 when I ordered some shit from Smartpunk.com, and it has some bands on it. I haven't listened to it yet, but I figured I'd ask if any of these bands are worth listening to the CD for. Yeah. Armor For Sleep Codeseven Fear Before The March Of Flames Circa Survive The Snake The Cross The Crown Alexisonfire Liars Academy Endicott Before Today Vaux Silent Drive Bear Vs. Shark Bars Time In Malta Converge

Here are bands I like, you should like them... some of them are "unsigned" bands, but you can find them all basically at purevolume. Atreyu Avenged Sevenfold Bayside Bleeding Through Change of Pace, a Dear Whoever Early November Eighteen Visions Emery Finch From Autumn to Ashes Funeral for a Friend Grade Hawthorne Heights Hopesfall Hurt Process, the Left Alone Letter Kills Pepper Senses Fail Silverstein Static Lullaby, a Taking Back Sunday Thrice Thursday Underoath Unseen Used, the ... that just some of it, you probally have heard like half of it, lol.
Casey--I haven't heard this Equal Vision Winter Sampler, but their Summer Sampler was terrible, IMO. Anyways. Hardcore bands I like... Refused: My all-time favorite hardcore band. Download Refused Are Fuckin' Dead and The Shape Of Punk To Come (which can be found on the Epitaph website). All Bets Off: Not as technically good or groundbreaking as Refused, but lovable all the same. Download Catharsis. Minor Threat: I don't think I need to really say anything about them...but what the hell. Accidental starters of the straight-edge movment and all around great band. Download Screaming at the Wall H20: I actually don't know them very well but Everready is a kickass song. And I've never heard a metalcore band I liked, so if anyone wants to recommend me a REALLY good one I'll give you a cookie. edit: If we're counting screamo bands too then I like the Used, My Chemical Romance and Vendetta Red.
36 Crazyfists Alexisonfire (My favorite, by far) Avenged Sevenfold Codeseven (They were hardcore?) Dead Poetic Funeral For A Friend Killswitch Engage The Used Underoath
