Yes, so this is the band that gave birth to The Mars Volta & Sparta when they broke up.

A real groovy band. You can't really compare them to TMV or Sparta, because those 3 bands are so different from each other.

Anyways, yeah. Good band, check 'em out.

    Good songs:
    Rolodex Propaganda
    Mannequin Republic
    Quarantined
    Hourglass
    Napoleon Solo
    Embroglio
    Non-Zero Possibility
    One Armed Scissor
    Arcarsenal
    Sleepwalk Capsules
    Doorman's Placebo
    Pattern Against User

Fun little fact here...Embroglio is about Cedric & Omar's friend that went into a coma after jumping off a bridge and shooting up rat posion.

Story sound familiar? It should. The "concept" album De-Loused In The Comatorium by their later band, The Mars Volta, is about that very friend.

    Ch-Check 'em out. (w00t)

It sucks that they broke up but I love The Mars Volta too. Sparta, I dont like so much.

In Casino/Out is a good CD and so is Vaya. My friend got me into them awhile back.

If they gave birth to The Mars Volta, I have to check them out. I'm going to go buy the CD on blind faith just like I did with TMV... thanks for the heads up.

Great stuff, I have Relationship of Command and have borrowed a copy of "In Casino/Out" and of course its really awesome stuff! You can see how good they were back then, but of course you can imagine how they were limited in their creativity once they got big.

I love ATDI, but I'm glad they broke up ;)

I've only heard "One-Armed Scissor" and that song scared me.

Casey: Why didn't you include Invalid Litter Dept. on your list!! One of the best ATDI songs IMO!

    "a vivid dissection that mocked
    the strut of vivisection
    semi-automatic colonies,
and a silencing that still walks the streets"

    Pure Cedric!
