This was established months ago. That doesnt mean a new album though, so dont get your hopes up. It might mean maybe a remix, maybe a new song, no one knows. Just wait.
Someone in the band did say that, but it isn't a brand new album. Few bands are able to pull off a full album within a few months and have it sound good (Incubus completed ACLOTM in 2 months, I believe). Unfortunately, Linkin Park just isn't one of them. Now, I'm being the idiot by not reading the thread (I've already seen Nate's post), so I don't know if this was already stated or not. I think an EP with a few remixes or b-sides would seem more possible.
