Donate more?! They've donated $100,000 out of their own pockets and have established a fund with the American Red Cross to get eevn more cash! I don't know what other bands have actually gone out an created relief funds like they have.

If LP went and performed a benefit concert, you'd bet they'd raise a shitload of money. I think it's a good idea, but I doubt they'll do it.

Sure. Doing a concert or even a tour was something even I've thought about. It is a good idea.

I wonder if they're thinking about it.

I mean, they should get together with some of the other bands that joined the charity and do a short benefit tour or even one show.

LP, Korn, Incubus, Story of the Year, 311, The Used, Jay-Z, etc...

    Hell, I'd Go.

yeah, i must admit, i was a little surpised that they weren't playing for the benefit concert of thier own fund. :wth:

but if you look at it another way. they have done a LOT. ^_^

it made me upset that our vry rich president only made a $10,000 donation. but something is better than nothing.

    first off...bush is a douche

secondly,if every band, just for one day, gave all theyre earnings for theyre concert....theyde make hella money.

but if those bands played a show...theyde still havta pay for the venue, secuity, electricity, ect.unless everyone just volintered.bands dont make that much per show.

im tired so excuse me if it doesnt make sence. :teehee:

Guys, Linkin Park has been touring since Meteora came out, now they're on their break. I think donating 100 000$ and starting a fund was doing their part.

Remember artists don't make as much money as the movies make it look like.

i was suprised at first - but thinking about it. playing a show or tour (whatever) is a big deal.

plus the donation of 100,000 is more than generous!

if they did only 1 show they could put it on ppv or a dvd to get even more money

Okay, what the HELL did Bush have to do with any of this whole discussion? Way to put an unneeded jab at Bush in there, makes you look real cool.

Bush is the one who upped our relief funding/donations to over 300+ million, and with Red Cross and all that we have now surpassed 675+ Million in donations.

Yet we aren't helping out enough? Wow. We're one of the richest countries in the world and we've already donated more than 675 Million.

But yeah, I guess Bush is a douche for raising the amount of money we're giving to help. Grow up and drop your grudges against the president, at least he's acting right in this situation.

I agree his/her comment was unneeded (it was there because someone mentioned that Bush only donated 10,000$ of his own money when he could easily donate more).

But how is Bush raising this money? I know he said that we're going to help them and everything but as far as I know, he doesn't have much to do with the Red Cross does he? and he has nothing to do with the Music for Charity which has raised a ton of money already.

All I know is that the american government is donating this much money, from an order by George Bush.
