Did Fred Durst create Nu Metal though? No. So he is a poser somehow.

Maybe he didn't create nu-metal, but his band was certainly a factor in making nu-metal popular in the late 90s.

And besides, Fred Durst introduced the world to Puddle Of Mudd and Staind. That's reason enough for me to hate Mr. Durst until Armageddon happens, and then some.

Also, didn't Fred help get Korn in the business, or is it the other way around?

Limp Bizkit never got Korn the deal with Epic/Immortial.

Nah, thinking about it now, I think Korn got Fred into the business or something.

No one knew about Limp Bizkit until Rollin', Nookie, Rearranged was releasied. Also Korn had Fred on All In The Family. Which was on Follow The Leader which was relased in 1998. Korn's first MTV single was in 1996 (Right around the time Limp Bizkits was making Three Dollar Bill Ya'll). And so I'm not sticking with Korn here, I'll use The Deftones. Adrenilne was released in 1995.

Limp Bizkit blew up when "Nookie" was released. I remember the video getting heavy rotation on MTV and on the radio.

Is it just me or does it seem like he's trying really hard to seem mature and wise?

I think your jealous and narrow-minded.

I don't have an ever-lasting hate for Fred Durst that some of you carry on your shoulders because I understand that over half of what he says or does is just to grab attention. I don't think he even knows what type of personality he has.

I don't care, as long as they make good music, I shall always be a fan.
