    WOW.

    My dad said that it was 1000 miles and more then 1500 km long. The earthquake started in the ocean and was felt in more then 5 countries.

    i live in asia and the country that i'm now living in [Singapore] has felt some of the tremors as well. its just... :blink:

    the fact that it triggered huge tidal waves is just scary..

    You gotta be kidding the death toll in India itself is 3,000.The entire count is well above 11,000

    It's so freaky 0_o. My grandaunt felt the tremor (heh, initially she thought she was getting a little woozy and was about to faint).

    8.9 on the Richter Scale is SUPER freaky! :eek:

    I live in Indonesia ( in east java ISland)
    Thanx God it's not affected here ....that's scary....!!!
    My Island just very close from Sumatra Island ( the Island that located near by the earhquake center) U can see it just few centimeters on map!!! Spooky.....

    death toll is now almost 23,000

    its now 9.0 on the Richter scale instead of 8.9, making it the FOURTH worst earthquake since 1900.
