Cassie, don't leave. You're a great person and it would be a great shame to see you leave.

And yeah, I agree. The staff are a bit strict, there's still that one rule that's too strict [the r word]. <_<

I hope you decide to stay and have whatever conflicts sorted soon.

Gotta love offending those people with mentally impaired friends and family! ;) The context of the word is wrong, plain and simple.

One of the staff members has a little sister that was born with Autism. A drawback to this condition is that she is often called '********' in school because of her problems. Because of problems she cannot control, she is made fun of in school, and that my friends is why we do not tolerate the R word.

It is disrespectful, and either way is usually used to mean something negative when used to describe a situation.

It's not fair to associate the same term that is used to describe those type of people, to negative situations.

I really don't think anyone needs to use the "r" word. You wont die if you don't use it.
I think it's really disrespectful, if you know/are related to someone with that problem I don't think you would use it...

Don't leave Cassie, even if I don't know you STAY :'(

When I was new I didn't really like Will saying that I was a stupid 12 year old (I realised I was being a jerk, sorry.)
and "PRESS.THE.QUOTE.BUTTON", I'm new to forums I don't know where the fucking quote button is, I thought it was the other one :argh: but when I found out it was REALLY obvious...I'm kinda slow...

But I realised that I needed it and it doesn't kill if he disciplines you.
I recently looked at other forums and it's disgusting, so I would like to say thank you to all the staff, LPA wouldn't be so great without you.

    COME BACK :hugz: :(

I think that considering the size of this forum and the amount of regular members there are, the admin/moderator team does a great job of handling silly posts and offensive topics!

I agree. I personally don't see why people think that the Mods/Adims are too strict. It isn't at all hard to follow the rules and to be respectful. And okay, I'll admit that sometimes the Mods/Admins can be a little harsh, but people must understand that it is their job to keep the boards under control.

I can see why some of the Mods/Admins got angry when people where making a joke out of the "Mexican Man eats Man" thread. If the thread was meant to be joked about it wouldn't have been placed in the "Serious Chat" section. The whole matter of a man eating a man is just disgusting and horrible not funny.

I agree, but I think that sometimes people come here as an escape for fun and they don't like to be told off...
I don't think you should take their comments to the heart but I don't think you should ignor them either or else there would be no point.

But that opens up the question of what offensive means. I know that I've seen a lot of things here that offend me, but it never bothered me because I'd rather have the freedom to be offended then be sheltered. Man eating man is sick, yes, but we've had a lot of sick threads that haven't been closed, either.

This isn't meant to be a critisism of the LPA, just simply some things to think about.

    Happy holidays everyone.

I don' like it when threads are closed sometimes because I really want to say something but I can't :argh: but it doesn't really bother that much...

Ummm...I'm not seeing Will anywhere on the forums now...

@ Whimsicality: I agree, sometimes it's better to keep it to yourself (I learned the hard way) but if something offends you, shouldn't you react or post something?

I know i may be a "newb" to the forums but i personally dont think its a very good idea to start threads like this, if your gonna leave then just put it in your sig or something, threads like this only cause problems and alot of drama

oh well, i may not have known you but bye cassie

You know, it's easy to understand that, because of the size of this community (and the fact it's a LP one), rules have to be enforced. Yes, I keep that in mind.

However, in my opinion, the cannibalism thread was pretty... hmm... funny  . I mean, that world is a messed up one and it's better to laugh about it than cry. You know, it all happened, why hide from the thruth?

And sometimes, the keep it clean rule is... boring? We want some action!

I believe there was a announcement about not making a goodbye thread, but I guess that rule was taking down.

You've got some time to think about it now. You know that you can always come back if you want too.

    See ya!

 we may have to go find Will and tie him to the computer chair...it's not the LPA without Will.

And what I mean is that, while I may still argue with a thread/opinion that offends me (or keep my mouth shut, depending on what time of the month it is  ) I don't argue the opinion/thread's right to exist or remain open.

    I love you :)

Seriously, if you don't like the way we handle things, feel free to make your own forums with your own rules, we however, have to watch over a forum that is used by a lot of different age groups (our youngest active member is like...12 or something from what I recall) - so we have to bear this in mind.

constructive critism (like improving my spelling for example) is very much appreciated. But leaving because someone isn't getting their own way is a downright bleeding stupid way of attracting attention.

That's because no one made a joke out of them. (If they did, I don't know.) And no one argued with an Admin/Mod either.
