Congrats to Linkin Park and band member/video director Joseph Hahn on having their anime-drawn "Breaking The Habit" video named to MTVs top animated videos list of 2004. While it was pretty much a sure thing the video would get noticed, here's the confirmation. Thanks, Carl Johnson.
No offense to the other artists but LP has got to win, the rest are horrible, the anime was so unique. Can we vote? Congrats LP
congrats LP! i showed BTH to some of friends who were hardcore fans of anime and they were amazed that LP actually came out with an anime video.
Eh, I guess those kinda count... but from what I remember, they all looked basically the same to me. The band was real, in a green-screen type situation, and they had brown stuff moving behind them. Not so much animated as just sort of shifting around in the background.
it deserves to win 'cause I say the way to do work with animation is work by having it all anime or not at all. don't keep it half, if yes then it's gotta be really good to do that. I have looked at other anime videos and they had half animated and half real and they were told that they were the worst videos shown. same with robots. when working with robots, have all being robots (meaning don't have the artists be robots too.) and they were too told worst videos seen. Linkin Park for Points of Authority wasn't name worst video 'cause it was all robots and they were just the cameos. they've done very well. by the way, i know i am going too deep into this but i want to be a director when i grow up so i catch these things.
