This was posted by Luke (new vocalist) on the ademaweb message board... Damn can't wait to hear the new album.
I can't see them replacing the former sing. Mark, was it? I just can't. It'll be a whole new band now, I'm gonna assume.
They should change the name of the band. Look what happened to Drowning Pool. A band doens't sound the same with a new vocalist, and that's when you need a new identity. Awesome news. It's coming sooner than expected! Amazing.
I was thinking the same thing. It won't be the Adema that we've known, they should just change their name
What about KsE? They're doing well and they got a new vocalist
Jesse (ex-vocalist) didn't want them to change the name of the band.
Jesse (ex-vocalist) didn't want them to change the name of the band.
Okay, fair enough. A name change would be a good idea but it's their choice Anyone know what happened to Marky? :wth: EDIT: I mean what he's doing now...
Good point about KsE but to me they don't sound too different...then again, I don't listen to them too much....yet. As harsh as it may sounds, most of the time, the lead singer is the band.
The date's been February ever since they announced it when Marky was singer (and it was called "Four Closure"). Fair warning, though, it may slip into March or April. Earache's US label manager liked it, though... on their site he listed the advance in his top 5 favorite albums of 2004, which is pretty good for an advance. Also, I see no reason for them to not keep the name Adema. They have 3 members, and they're doing it how they want it. Some bands change their names, some don't... some get a new singer who's actually good, other's don't. AC/DC changed singers and they still sounded amazing. Black Sabbath, Anthrax, The Apex Theory, and a number of other bands did, too. A singer does not make the band. And, Mark didn't leave Adema, he was kicked out. Marky had a few problems, and he was kicked out of Adema. You may think it's stupid since that's all the information I'm giving you, but I think it's safe to say he had what was coming to him... you don't have to believe me if you want, though. Luke is the former singer for Rewind Yesterday. Samples: http://www.rewindyesterday.com/
It'd probably be best for the band's success if they held onto the name because of the recognition factor. That guy is pretty damn great! I love the song. Great vocals. Highly anticipating.
That's probably a major reason, but I think the band just didn't want to have to change the name... they liked Adema and they worked hard to make a name for themselves, so it's not like they just want to give it up. I'm anticipating it, too... I posted it in the albums I'm looking forward to in 2005
Didn't know they got a new singer. Adema won't be the same. I mean, like everytime I think of Adema I think of Mark. Well, I guess it doen't really matter. Can't wait to hear how the new singer sounds.
He's a good vocalist and all, but I like Adema's heavier songs and with his voice, I dunno how hard they'll be able to go. Anyway, we'll have to see how it turns out.
According to the band, it's just as heavy, if not heavier, than before. Then again, most bands say that... we'll just have to wait and see. Todd: Actually, the instrumentals will largely be the same. The lyrical content is also extremely similar... the only difference is the singer.

I dunno, judging by the sound of his voice on that site, it doesn't seem like he'd be able to sing too heavy. But then again, its only one song, so I can't really judge that.
