Was MTV involved with this production?

Didn't you read my post? Let me elaborate then.

MTV "got the idea" to do a mash-up with artists. Jay-Z was first. He chose LP. It was only supposed to be a concert. The artists wanted more. MTV said, "okay, but since it was our idea, you must stick our logo in."

 

Seriously...what I mean is did people who worked for MTV like produce it or were they involved with the recording process?
