Oh, man. If you like Taking Back Sunday and Something Corporate, then I've got the band for you. Straylight Run sound like someone made TBS and SC play a game of chicken...where neither band chickened out, and they both just sort of slammed into each other and made Straylight Run. They're amazing as hell. I suggest you check out this free EP that they posted online before their self-titled LP came out:

Mistakes We Knew We Were Making
    A Slow Decent
    The Tension And The Terror
    It's For The Best
    It's Everybody's Fault But Mine*
    Existentialism On Prom Night

    * For some reason, the filename has "everyone's" in it, but it's actually "everybody's."

You can also check out the video for their single "Existentialism On Prom Night" by clicking here (QuickTime required), and their ecard by clicking here.

I thought Straylight Run was made up of members TBS. They just don't sound like them, they ARE them, I do believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, did TBS break up?

No. Two guys left TBS and formed SR. TBS didn't break up.

shoots then. true that. i got the TBS cd, but i'm not too into them(it's not catchy). i like some something corporate stuff(it's catchy), but it's not my style at all. if SR has got SC's catchiness and TBS's style, then they'll be good. i'll listen to these songs. thanks, Will.

edit: we can only post mp3s if they're free by the artist?

I think "Existentialism on Prom Night" is pretty good, but I have to hear more before I make my final decision.
