This is hilarious for alot of reasons. So many reasons that I'm just going to laugh at it and not make any point at all.

    Hahaha.

Okay, I'll make a point I guess. Giving the tapes to Metallica is a bad idea. It was Cliff's tapes. Cliff's family gave them to his friend. I would think that if they wanted it to end up in Metallica's hands, they would have given it to James or Lars.

And giving Metallica the tapes? And then have them probably put them on their little P2P program they have? Or even worse, record and finish the demos? How about no? I would rather some unknown guy from fucking Iowa record it and fuck it up than Metallica doing it and fucking up, because let's face it. Another fuck up for Metallica could be lethal at this point. Especially when it comes to something like this that belonged to a beloved member of Metallica like Cliff.

    Fin.

I sure as hell wouldn't want any Pheonix demos given to some random-ass kid to play around with.

    1) I was opposing the idea to sell them on Ebay.

    2) Metallica would have the sense and the respect for Cliff to leave them as they are and not finish / record them.

    3) Cliff's family wouldn't have been able to reach Metallica as easily.

It doesn't matter if Metallica sucks or not -- you don't give a dead guy's music away to some random kid of all people.

I never thought about charity, actually.

but if not eBay, then what are you going to do with the tapes? Send them to the Goodwill?

Sell it on eBay, then the money could be used to donate for charity.

Unless you're talking about donating the tapes to like, the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame or something.

Lost recordings of The Beatles were sold on eBay, I think.

But it was by mistake though.

I think he's doing this for Cliff. Since Cliff was just a kid in his room playing bass, he's letting someone else doing the same thing take over.
