Congrats to Linkin Park on being nominated for two Billboard Music Awards. The band are up for "Duo/Group of the Year" against Hoobastank, Maroon 5, and Outkast, and "Modern Rock Artist of the Year" versus Incubus, Jet, and Three Days Grace. The awards show airs live on FOX (8:00 PM EST) from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 8th. Thanks to RX8LP!
Even though I am not sure if they would be able to win in the "Duo/Group of the Year" award since Outkast and Maroon 5 are in the same catagory.. Good luck to them winning both. @LP4life: Please don't type in all caps.
"Modern Rock Artist of the Year" is a shoe-in. Linkin Park beat Incubus and Jet before in The American Music Awards, and Three Days Grace have no frickin' chance.
I'm sure Linkin Park will have a fairly big chance of getting "Modern Rock Artist of the Year", but it's not garenteed. They beat Jet / Incubus at the AMA's, but lost to Jet at the VMA's, so you never know.
I'd give a slight edge to Linkin Park over Three Days Grace. But I wouldn't mind if 3DG won. Jet is the next closest threat, then it's Incubus.
Does anybody know the results? I know LP didnt win best group (Outkast won), but I havent seen the Rock category winners.
Ya I'd like to know too. I assume they lost since it wasn't posted but I would still like to know who they lost to.
At the end of the awards (whatever it's called when the words go by..) it said: "A complete list of winners will be published in Billboards Year of Music issue. Dated December 25, 2004". So unless someone finds out before, we will have to wait until the magazine comes out to see who won.
