I think that there is alot of peer pressure in schools for teenagers to have sex,if someone below age does have sex and gets the girl/themself pregant there are many problems that occur.IMO human nature should take its course,and in this instance its to have sex,except I think there should be better education on how to prevent underage teenage pregancy.Sex Education in schools in the UK especialy because in the UK statisticly 1 person everyday has underage sex
I hate it when I hear a young girl gets pregnant. If you take the responsibility to have sex, then you should take the responsibility to be safe about it. It angers me when I hear about teenagers not being safe and treating sex like it's a game. Speaking from someone who has had sex, I believe you should only have sex if you are truly ready and are aware of the consequences that can happen. The media does shove sex down our throats as well but I wouldn't blame the media at all. Teenagers should know better and if they do blame the media, they are only looking for excuses for their own actions.
Exactly. Think of the consequences if you're not using protection. Having a child can ruin your educational future, force you to get a dead-end job to make ends meet, and makes your life alot tougher and stressful. Years of stress for a some moments of pleasure, it depends if you're really that desperate.
I reckon even if you think you're ready to have a child at that age you shouldn't,it just sevearly messes up your life.I knew someone that became a father at just 14! his life with the girl was just messed up sevearly
I think if people are having sex underage, they have to be very careful and make it very safe. If they aren't safe about it, they can't blame anything else for their actions.
I think that if an underage girl gets pregnant, its her own damn fault. In all honesty, its stupid to throw away your future for 15 minutes of fun.
i remember a few years back there was someone who became pregnant in my secondary school [or high school as some would call it] and she was told to LEAVE the school. as much as i'm against teenage pregnancy, i thought that this was going too far. i mean, i believe that everyone should be given an opportunity to complete their education regardless of what is happening around them. just my $0.02 worth.
Teen pergnancy is very wrong in my opinion. There was a girl in my tutor group at school last year and she got pregnant (she was either 13 or 14) and she got taken out of school for the whole time. She actualy had the baby but had it adopted. I can't see why any young girl would want to put themseleves through something like that. I know i would never do that. I wouldn't want to put myself through the trauma of it all. When i hear about young girls getting pregnant as young as 12 i just don't know what to think
I don't know whether I should say this but my GF got pregnant last year.I guess My gf and I got carried away.Anyway I feel bad about it more so because i am a devout Catholic and the church doesn't allow sex outside marrige and I ended an innnocent unborn human's life.I hope you guys do not isolate me for that.I am really very sorry for my stupid act
The number of teenage pregnancies I hear about each year just seems to grow and grow. Society just seems to ignore it. I think governments schools, and communities need to set up compulsory programs that educate teenages about the dangers of sex. My school does but I and other students think that they do it too late (Year 10, 16 years old) because the sad reality is that lots of teenages will have already done it. I know its also their responibilty but its amazing too see how ignorant and irresponsible some teens are about sex. They need to be educated on it.
If you look for some of the old abortion threads, you'll see that this is one of the last places you'll need to apologize for that.
It's not that the UK has a limited Sex Education curriculum - because that's not that case. To me, it's what a lot of people have already echoed: irresponsability on the two person's parts. However there are exceptions, such as in the cases of rape, but that discussion is for another day. I first had sex at 18 believe it or not. I was with Jon for well over a year at that point. Sure we had little bits of 'tomfoolery' (as a few of us call it ) but there was always some sort of line that we both respected until we thought we were ready Typical rambling over.. Go out and have sex whenever you feel you're ready. No-one can stop you. Though just make sure you know exactly what's what, I guess. Don't be a dickhead, to put it bluntly.
