If nobody has any objection, I'm going to make several (not too many) threads, in which people will decide if they like the demo or the album version of a given song. The song of this thread is...Part of Me I like the demo better for 3 reasons: 1. The rapping is better 2. I like Chester screaming, "Cut myself free Willingly, stop just what’s killing me," better than Mike just saying it. 3. I like the harmony in the chorus.
hmmm i like the normal version because it has so many things added in and stuff. I like the rhythmic pattern when he says "Cut myself free...willingly stop just what's killing me" I like the way CHester screams "I FEEL!" very faintly in the background on the last chorus repeat and i like when Mike says "Everywhere i look around i see how everything oughta be, every time i see myself, there's always something wrong with me..." -so much emotion a typical lp song? I LOVED Part of Me demo before i heard the normal version, then i began liking that one better after a couple of listenings.
Normal one. I like Chester's screaming in the demo, but that's the only thing I like from the demo. I like the chorus and the rapping of the normal better.
hey, sorry im new on this board, but i have a (probably ) dumb question.. there's 2 versions of part of me? i only have the EP-version, how come there's 2 versions? is it possible to get this somewhere? whats different about it and on what CD was it released?i thought i had everything of LP,i mean.. i thought i had it all,i have all LPU's,handsome boy-song...morning after, you name it im puzzled i never knew this well if anyone can help me out here
the demo owns.. it seems like it has so much more edge to it.. i love it.. mikes rapping seems a little sloppier on it tho.. lyrically its fine, its just the delivery im talkin about..
