Mike Collaborates Once Again, Follow-up Delayed

    In a recent MTV.com article, Linkin Park emcee Mike Shinoda announced he's hoping to have a song on an upcoming solo album from Chali 2na (Jurrasic 5 fame). This comes a day after Mike said he's working with another hip-hop group, Styles of Beyond.

    So what do all these side projects mean? Mike also said, despite band member iterations that Linkin Park will be heading into the studio in October to start work on the new album, that they haven't started the recording process just yet.

    Mike commented: "We're kind of taking it [going into the studio to record] easy now. I'm doing some production for other artists, mostly hip-hop. I have a track that I hope is going to be on Chali 2na's solo album. I've got a track on the new Handsome Boy Modeling School album. We're always busy, but right now we're just doing little fun things."

    It says 'Will be going into the studio in October' but it's been October :huh:

    I don't know what iterations means... :'( :lol:



    Does it mean that they said they were going into the studio but didn't? :wth:

    it sounds like mike is being snapped up by all the bands that want to colaborate with him lol. which is very cool but is also a shame because i cant see LPs next album untill 2006 now *sad face*

    lets hope they get into the studio soon

    chali 2na says in this interview whit his album , probaly be released in februry and he worked with mike and some others

    We don't know that the other guys aren't in the studio. Mike could be freelancing while it's anarchy in the studio since they can't do shit without him. :lol:

    Another delay of the new album, blah...so many collaborations I couldn't care less about hearing :lol:

    Colaboration are cool, especially since they don't do any for their albums. This one with Chali 2na is gonna be awesome, J5 is wicked.

    This is awesome, Mike has gone back to his roots and is working with my favorite rappers, Jay-Z and Chali from J5, first heard him on the Reanimation album. It's ok if it pushes the LP album back a month or two, gives the band members more time to write, and come up with better riffs and drum beats, which means this album now that it has been delayed, will probably be better! Plus with Mike rhyming like the rap god he is, he will hopefully bleed that style into the studio as well. Look out world, here comes Mike Shinoda!

    i just hope the song on the solo album isnt FRGT/10. Rather a totally new song with chali and mike.

    Or maybe mike producing.

    That's almost impossible. The song is over 2 years old, Chali 2na wouldn't do that if he made a solo album..it'd be all new tracks. After FRGT/10 was Linkin Park's track, not his.
