Mike Shinoda is delving into the world of underground hip-hop once again. According to an MTV.com article, the Linkin Park emcee is currently working with the Californian hip-hop group, Styles of Beyond.

"They're old friends of mine. I actually hadn't talked to them in awhile, and I actually got with them just to work on some music — just because they're crazy.", commented Mike. It's unclear what he is doing with Styles of Beyond, whether it be producing, collaborating or something else, so stay tuned for details.

Mike designed the the artwork and logo for Styles of Beyond's debut album "2000 Fold". I hope the "new" Linkin Park will actually have an emcee now.

    dayum!!

    yeh song is real tight.

I laughed at the headline by MTV " Linkin Park MC Has Love For Gangstas" ;)

EDIT: looks like mike might also have a song on Chali 2Na's new solo album.

Is it me, or can anyone else see the next LP album going in the direction of being a lot more hip-hop and rap based?

These guys are great rappers. I really hope that all these collaborations will improve Mike's skills.

No i tend to think they leave that to collaborations.

But hopefully mike will rap like a true MC in their next album.

This is really sweet. But I hope Chester doesn't fall behind, though.

Nah, people thought the same thing when Reanimation was released. It's just some collaborations. I'm sure Chester will come up with cool collaborations too. And that the new album won't be exclusively rap/hip-hop.

Wicked this guy really is aweosme now. He is more than just being all about mainstream. I mean i guess he showed it with the guests he had on Reanimation. But this just solidifies it.
