The ’’Halo 2’’ Council is a seven-member celebrity clique of fans of the ridiculously popular Xbox game, ’’Halo.’’ The clique—comprised of members of Linkin Park, Hoobastank, and Incubus, as well as actors Wilmer Valderrama (’’That ’70s Show’’), Benjamin McKenzie (’’The O.C.’’), and Aisha Tyler (’’Friends’’), along with New York Giants star Jeremy Shockey—will soon be rewarded with the greatest gift that one could give to a ’’Halo’’ obsessive: An early copy of ’’Halo 2,’’ the most anticipated sequel in the history of gaming. We still have to wait until November 9th before we can get our chances to play the game. These advance copies of ’’Halo 2’’ are just the tip of the iceberg for the members of the council. A more coveted prize is the ’’Halo 2’’ Pelican Case—a portable Xbox console enclosed in a suitcase personalized with a bronze placard. Inside, a 15-inch, flat-screen, high-definition television is supported by a pair of hydraulic lifts that push the screen forward when the case is opened. Two controllers, an Xbox Live headset and an ethernet connection are also included for head-to-head play. And although the council itself—which strangely enough doesn’t feature breaking benjamin, a band who recorded a song for the ’’Halo 2’’ soundtrack—was the brainchild of the executives at Bungie Studios, the idea for the briefcase was spawned by members of none other than Linkin Park and Incubus. Since the bands are almost always on the road, and they said that it was hard for them to play the games they loved, Bungie developed the idea for a completely portable Xbox. This story was discovered at HBO and appears on MTV.
A very, very, very, very, very early build of the multiplayer engine. [/b][/quote] Figures our resident Halo nut would get this news before any other LP site on the net.
