Today my high school basketball team played for 1st place in the state of Missouri and lost..... ....and I couldn't be any happier I know it sounds weird, but until you're a non-preppy student at my school, you won't understand. Basically the whole athletics department is run by 2 groups, the preps and jocks. The jocks are usually pretty preppy. The preps hate anyone who isn't preppy. I'm far from preppy. The preppy girls are all stupid teenies. They're all obsessed with school spirit and when I refuse to dress up for stupid spirit days, they force their crap on me. Like on some stupid Hawaiian day for example, you're supposed to dress up in Hawaiian stuff. Well of course I wouldn't humiliate myself, so the preps/teenies follow me and other people who weren't dressed up around with those plastic lei thingys and they don't take no for an answer. This is one of many examples of crap teenies do. Preps are the same people who think that someone who listens to bands like LP are evil satan worshippers (yet one of my friends who is a huge LP fan is a rather religious Christian ) Jocks are, well, jocks. They think they're better than everyone else yet most of them are dumbasses. Most of the senior jocks would barely get a C in a freshman math class. Like today they were so sure they would win state. And the basketball coach is just, err, odd. He's a biology teacher, I had him last year. He's a redneck and is too busy with his basketball crap to teach the class anything. He tells you to read the book and in 2 weeks you have a test over material he either never went over in class or did a crappy job of teaching it. Every science teacher in the school knows what they're doing except for him. He only teaches to be a coach, since to coach you need to be a teacher. And to make it worse, his son, a student, is also on his team. So every time the team does win, who gets all the credit? His son, even though he didn't deserve it. So today when I saw sports on the 10 o'clock news and they said Parkway Central lost to Raytown South, I jumped up in joy. Maybe it will teach those damn jocks that they aren't so perfect. Today has been a good day for me.
you seem mightly happy!!! haha my bball team just lost in regional to best team in state....by A LOT, buut we were good, but i was also happy....everyone makes a big deal bout it....i mean i like the games(i play it myself) but when people treat it like its life, then thats takin it way too far. so yeah!

Yeah i hate when ppl do that at my school too (not lifting into a garbage can lol)..i mean the only ting in school thats gets any recognition is football/basketball/and baseball..I hate all those sports..I run track/wrestle/and playy tennis..and we don't get #### lol i want some ####### recognition lol...and liek all my friends are mainly jocks and cheerleader girls...i dunno they are cool tho not the typical school we only have two groups in school...hoenstly it is the group 1. Gangsta (blacks, hispanish, ect.) and group 2. Anybody not like that lol .... ^^^^Was not being racist there...cuz its true
Yeah the school gets all the recognition, and funding too. Sports never needs to do fundraisers because the school gives them assloads of money. Drama/music doesnt get much. Im on the newspaper staff and we get next to nothing. The cheerleaders won 1st place in state and for a whole week they would congratulate the cheerleaders over the school intercom system. When the newspaper won 3rd in the entire nation for a competition we got nothing. Not even a congratulations.
hey todd, no offense but I disagree......... I'm considered a jock, just because of the fact that I am on the Varsity Basketball team at my high school........ And I also hate it when people stereotype people who play sports are considered 'Jocks and Preppies'....... And I am an honor student, so a jock can be smart(not very likely though)......... And please don't take offense to this, it's just my opinion.....( And I'm ot no ###### preppy and don't you foret it everyone........)
I have some friends that would be considered 'jocks' but they dont act like the Jocks you think of. Dont get me wrong though, i'd never be a jock, I find organized sports extremly boring and stupid.(no offence to anyone) I'd rather do my own thing, when I want, and how I want. LIVE TO RIDE, RIDE TO LIVE (ride bmx, not women, dont mind women though )
ugh my old high school was flooded with your stereotypical jocks. they were so moronic, ugh, i remember this one guy, a senior, he couldn't even spell "skills." and all the girls loved them and the cheer leaders were just as brainless. they only passed because of their looks. i hated the people at my school and i still do whenever i see them. <_<
