"If you don't like it, then leave" (in reguards to the state of our nation). Wow. Wow wow wow. I don't think anything else gets more of a rise out of me. That's the single most settled, un-American phrase I've ever heard. It goes against the very things this nation was founded on. If I don't like it, I'm going to excersice my right to speak my dissent, in an effort to change it. Why? It's not because I'm an anti-American pinko Commi....it's because I want to see this nation improve. How do you get it to improve? You point out what's wrong and try to fix it. Someone said this to me in a class debate today....and I nearly choked in surprise. I was simply appalled. Just because my view is different doesn't mean it's un-American in any way, that couldn't be further from the truth. </rant>
i guess I haven't really heard that phrase before, but I definately agree with you. America is all about freedom and that ignorant person should be smacked across the face.
Totally agreed. I get this one a lot, and its incredibly difficult to hold back the unbridled rage it releases in me. The true ignorance of some will never cease to amaze me.
Random fact: Rednecks and/or dipshit patriots make up the majority of the US. Therefore, it's not an unfrequent ignorant saying people have to hear.
What about the dipshit patriots? They're certainly not extinct. And if I were to guess, I'd say alot more people live in the south than in the other regions. (California, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, etc..)
I can see how that is ignorant and annoying. Only because a person has a different view to someone else doesn't mean they have the right to tell you to leave if you don't like it, that's just stupid. A person should speak up and try to change things, it's one persons country just as much as it anothers.

are you saying Texas & Florida isn't the South, Mark?
No. Everything in the brackets was Southern-based states. I guess I didn't clarify. I know my geography, duh.
No. Everything in the brackets was Southern-based states. I guess I didn't clarify. I know my geography, duh.
Texas and Florida were Confederate states...
I live in Virginia as well, and it's kind of funny because where I am (college town in the middle of the state) it's pretty balenced, but the closer to UVA you get the more liberal it gets...
Oh, I said it lol. I made sure she got the point, she still disagreed, but at least I said what was on my mind.
