One man I've been indebted to for information and insight is Dr. Jeremy Rifkin, President of the Foundation on Economic Trends, and according to the National Journal one of the top 150 most influential people in shaping policy in the US. My biology teacher gave me a video of one of his presentations, this one on biotechnology...he completely blew my mind. While his insight at times was simple, it was very close to my own personal feelings on many subjects. His 'ecological' approach theory is how we should integrate more with nature instead of distancing/destroying our natural environment. Here is his biography. It's really kind of funny you posted those, because less then an hour ago in the car I was asking my Mom a lot about Hydrogen energy, especially fuel cells, (she writes about the energy industery for various magazines and newsletters) and she recommended I skim through his book, Hydrogen Econemy. The Biotech article is probably the most interesting though, if anyone doesn't want to read through all three.
