I presented the opinion of Christianity, and the reasoning behind it. Never did I say that I believe in God. I'm willing to accept that what I believe is opinion. I simply pointed out the logic behind both beliefs with the bit on an infinite force in the universe, sorry if you misinterpreted my post, but I was not proclaiming my personal opinion.
The belief itself is not a fact, but the since he said it was a Christian belief (and it is), and didn't state or imply that it was a fact (I say 'imply' because Link believes in God and is a Christian, so it was bound to sneak in there somehow, yet didn't), he was stating the fact that Christians believe so. If the universe was an all emcompassing (yet nothing-encompassing at the same time, if absolutely nothing existed), empty room with no windows, doors, or openings at all, it would be impossible to have something come into it. If absolutely nothing ever existed, there would be absolutely nothing to and manifest itself into the universe we know today, or some creator of the universe we know today. edit: okay nevermind. he posted before me.
All states are the sam I belive. Thank God I'm in college. [/b][/quote] my shitty high school had the pledge once a week, but not the moment of silence.
i just moved to phoenix, from san antonio tx, and like ive moved so many times in my life, every school i go to has the silence thing. at my school they tell you to stand up, and if you dont "you get in trouble", i only do it, because i got in this huge ass fight w/ two guys at my last school because they were brainwashed patriots. but i mean, im not one of those "f*ck america" or " i hate america" guys, i just think america has some serious issues to work out. i dont say the pledge, and i wont until things get fixed. even then i wont say the whole thing, im a semi-buddhist, and dont really believe in god, so i wont say under god, again going back to separation of church and state. Bush is trying to bring the two together, which is WRONG- WAY WRONG!!! he is trying to destroy what our country was founded on. i slowly see all of our freedoms being taked away, one by one. we all need to make a change, all of us. make your mark, be heard...
Maybe he believes in the rituals and way of life of Buddists, but not the actual religion part? I have a few friends that could be considered "semi"-Buddist then.
Buddhism is more of a way of life rather than a religion. You don't necessarily have to pray to Buddha or anything of the sort. On the contrary, the basic tenets of Buddhism is how to live your life in a complete way. Without suffering or material problems and such. You can just believe in how to live your life and not the rest of the 'religion.' Or the other way around As for the pledge, I'm all for it. Just replace 'God' with whatever diety you serve in life.
Well, seeing as how Todd rhymes perfectly with god, everyone just worship me as your god and say "one nation under Todd"
