Yah i know they defintely have alot of money for the studio. I was readin a stat on Hilary Duff, that of her CD sales from her last album she got like 3 million from it. I am guessing it depends whats in the contract with the record company. But i heard that 10% is a general figure for what most artists make form record sales.
Then with LP with six members, that 10% is going to be divided up. That sucks

That's why bands tour. Very little of an artists money is actually from selling the CDs. Think of how many people went to every concert this year and times that by the ticket price.

Then, think of how many times LP toured just by them selves. That money has to be divided up amongst like 4 or 5 artists at a time, and in the case of this year's Projekt Revolution, like 10 artists. They'll get more because they're the headliner yes, but it's still even smaller.

Even longer. I'd give it 10-11 months.
Why so late?

You should probably read the full thread, I explained it in detail in a post after that.

10%! Ouch! That really is nothing!

I thought they'd get a lot more, like around the 50%..

Basically, Record Labels are the ones who get rich, and all they do is the marketing (not worth more than 50% IMO for popular bands at least)

yesh i created a thread for this someplace in this forums. I believe their album will be called under attack. It's like reanimation. But i believe that they are in the studio for a long time because it takes a while to remix songs and get it perfectly. Trust me, i've tried to make remixes before out of other bands/artists' songs, and i couldn't even get past the first five seconds without messing it up somehow. (dang nero)

    Hell no.

Under attack is a bootleg cd......
And they said that they will never do a full cd of remixes again.
