Sorry if i make a mistake but a friend said to me that Linkin Park will have a new cd-single before they release their new album like Somewhere i belong. Is it right? If i make a mistake sorry
Lol, why are you apologizing? You're just asking if what your friend said is right or wrong. Thats too bad, but thats probably true
It's very rare that a single doen't get released before the release of the album, it's usually a week before the album release date.
Even longer. I'd give it 10-11 months.
If they are in the studio for that long, they had better make the most epic album ever created. They are going in to the studio in October, and no band ever stays in the studio longer than 6 months. If they are in there for 11 months, their next album had better be the greatest thing ever to be put into a stereo.

Yah they probably mean some kind of new material that will be available for the LPU. But damn LP must run some pretty damn high studio costs.

But then there's mixing, post-production, marketing, etc. Singles don't come out as soon as recording is finished. From my new album thread; With Linkin Park entering the studios in October, we can assume the guys already have ideas in their heads and songs already conceptualized. They had 3 months between March and June 2004 where they didn't tour to possibly convene to conceptualize the new albums sound. Stages one and two are done. Stage three, in the studio, is likely to take 5-6 months from October 2004 to finish recording. We're talking about March-April 2005. Then there's stage four; the mixing. Give that a month, and we're at June 2005. Three months for post-production and you've got September 2005 (Fall 2005). Give them a month or two of delays and the likeliest time the album will be put out is October/November (or late fall) 2005. "Somewhere I Belong" was released on February 24th, 2003; one month before 'Meteora' was released. So if we're looking at an album that'll come out in Sept/Oct/Nov, we're looking at an early-fall 2005 release of a new single. therefore, 10-11 months.

Yah i know they defintely have alot of money for the studio. I was readin a stat on Hilary Duff, that of her CD sales from her last album she got like 3 million from it. I am guessing it depends whats in the contract with the record company. But i heard that 10% is a general figure for what most artists make form record sales.
lol! but which would you rather have some crap quicker or somthing good later?
well.....meteora was crap later lol

I think it was 2 years ago when it was said that LP have 21 million dollars.
