For anyone who has heard the song "Battery" by Metallica will find this incredibly interesting. Click the link below to listen to a short clip of Sum 41's "The Bitter End" Its only 30seconds, i don't think its illegal

Sum 41's "The Bitter End" of their new album sounds exactly like "Battery" by Metallica. It's uncanny.

Bands copy each other all the time these days.

Metallica ruined their image long ago, so I could care less about some MTV "punk" band "stealing" riffs or something to an old 80s song.

    Who cares?

If you're that insulted by it, don't listen to the song.

Well, do you know how many bands copy other bands? :p

Nirvana did it. Everyone does it.

    I don't think it's a big deal, but that's just me.

EDIT: And for the record...wow. That song is horrible.

    Yeah I've heard it.

I still don't care, but if they're going to steal the whole song basically, atleast do it properly.

Sum41 has said in many interviews that they wish they were a metal band. They've taken a step in the wrong direction by jacking da beats, homie.

Wishing they were a metal band?

There's something terribly wrong with that statement, but I can't seem to point out what and why..

BANDS. NOT CLOTHING COMPANIES. YOU ARE A DISGRACE.

Stay on topic and start obeying the rules or you're out of here!

I guess it's not a big deal if they had permission to use the riffs. It doesn't bother me much. I never heard "Battery" anyway. :chemist:
And for the record... the Sum41 song isn't that bad.

    Sum 41 - I'm not the one

The first verse sounds like something from limp bizkit. Then the bridge has the linkin park type thing.

Just pointing stuff out. Overall though, I thought Chuck was a pretty decent record.
