I'm going to start a collection of some great articles that I find on the internet. For those of you who have been interested by Michael Moore's films (or something similar) and want to look deeper into the origins of a market-dominated society, here are some articles that I find really interesting and that I think this forum should read and debate about.

    August 30th, 2004:
Here's some articles on a political/economic ideology called Neo-liberalism (aka Neo-conservativism). This has been embraced by the likes of President Bush, President Reagan, basically most or all of the Presidents since President Roosevelt after WWII.

What is Neo-Liberalism? (A great summary for those interested!)
A Short History of Neo-Liberalism (Very Long!)

Here's a great article by Ralph Nader and his views on Corporate Welfare and government subsidies to the rich.

    That's absolutely terrible.

It's incredibly stupid how these corporations have so much power to sway the actions of a president and his administation. And it's ridiculous how these middle to lower-class people are given absolutely no help while the people on top of the success-chain are given all the breaks. There's absolutely no fairness anymore.

Hey, you should check out Michael Moore's latest suggestions and satirical analysis of the pro-republican ads that are attacking John Kerry's military service. It's under "Mike's Message" on Michaelmoore.com.

@Bend It Like Bechtel: Such a lack of commitment sickens me. Atrocious neglicence for the fullfllment of a binding contract. They're not commited to the renovation of schools, nor the restructuring of Iraqi lives and living conditions. Money hungry bastards.

Okay! I'm starting my thread back-up! My computer had to go in for repairs so I couldn't continue it but in the days upcoming to the election I want to give you some ideas that you may not have really thought about watching those Kerry/Bush debates. My posts will be hopefully once a day and have an insight on various issues.

    Thanks for reading this!

Buy, Take, Break, Throw it away. This is probably one of the reasons why I'll never in the US.

Thanks for the little contribution! And yes, I did read some of the articles. The one I really thought was interesting was the article on Michael Moore. I wouldn't doubt that he was supporting Nader in the 2000 elections. Its too bad he has gone to supporting the Democrats, and talking about the lesser of two evils when he knows very well that there is another alternative that goes much better with his own thinking.

Yea, my favorite was the last one, about how Kerry has used the "Anybody but Bush" campaign to try and sway voters, I thought that was well written.

Yeah. Moore used to work for Nader back in the early nineties as a matter of fact. Then he was released for some reason (I' m not sure why) and was then re-welcomed back by Nader in the 2000 election. I'm positive Moore will go back to supporting Nader once this election is over, he's just so anti-Bush thatit's pushed him to say "vote kerry". He's not really a big Kerry supporter, he's just more of an anti-Bush, so he says to pick the lesser of two evils, since Nader has no chance of winning.

But he did say somethign in "Dude, Where's My Country" about switching from Nader to a Ddemocratic choice only in the battleground states. In typically Republican or Democratic states, he advised anyone to vote Nader just to show the candidates that they still want a more left-winged agenda.
