What do you people think about Capital Punishment. Do you think it's nessecary. For those who don't know what Capital Punishment is it's the death penialty. A prime example is The Life of David Gale.
Exactly. Anyone who kills somebody and is thrown into jail gets the life sentence thrown on there neck. Serial Killer or not you get the life sentence. Plus, the way there doing it these days are inhumane. Gasing people, letting other peers watch that person die slowly. Come on. This is America not the Acient times.
Nowadays it's humanely done with a lethal injection. I believe only Texas still uses the electrical chair. And I said I wanted serial murderers/racists killed by lethal injection. Just not regular criminals.
If the US kicked Texas out of the union and made it it's own seperate country and put dubya in charge, would anyone miss it? I wouldn't Anyways, I only support the death penalty when there's DNA evidence or a confession linking the person to the actual crime. With all the innocent people that have been executed througout the years, unless the courts know 110% that he did it, then he shouldn't be executed

I agree with Todd's point. It should only be handed out to people who have been confirmed they did an inhumane criminal act.
By inhumane criminal act I mean some one who is a rapist and Serial Killer. Something like that. [/b][/quote] Ahh, yes. My point exactly.
Of course, some people deserve the death penalty. For example, serial killers. I can't really say much else because capital punishment has been abolished in the UK and people who commit "inhumane acts" usually don't get much more than 10 years in prison over here.
i started one of these long ago. anyway i am against it in any form. my father was murdered, and i still think that people should not be killed for anything. death is the easy way out. (the only reason why i have not succumbed to my suicidal tendencies). people should not kill other people. murder is murder, whether it is legally allowed or not.
I don't believe in capital punishment,If someone kills someone then number 1 they should have a chance to learn from their mistakes, number 2 theres no point of killing another person, atleast if they killer were to live there would be one more person left Capital punishment is as bad as the person who killed to get the punishment
A Few Facts on Capital Punishment: It actually costs more to execute a person than to keep them in prison for life. The first lethal injection was botched. It took the man close to 20 minutes to die. The reason the shot was botched? The person administering it was distracted by the man's wife and children crying in the background. There were people counting down to the time of Timothy McVeigh's death by lethal injection. (Talk about sick...) President George W. Bush presided over the execution of 152 people during his five plus years as governor of Texas -- far more than any other U.S. governor since World War II and more than one-third of all execution in the United States during his terms as governor. Of those executions: All were poor 50 were African Americans 21 Hispanic, Two were women There is a great deal of racism involved in the death penalty. On To My Opinion: I'm against it. As Rosanna said, it's the easy way out. It is more of a punishment to be forced to live in a cell for the rest of your life as a result of your actions than just to be snuffed out like a candle. And what if you're innocent? Our justice system is not infallible. We'd like to believe in the "innocent until proven guilty" spiel, but it's not always like that. And nothing, NOTHING can bring the dead back, even if they are innocent.
Death penalty is bettr cause you have to pay for what you've done for to others. and personally, I'd rather be dead than having to spend my whole life rottin in jail.
