The band are up against Jet and Incubus. The awards air live on Sunday, November 14th, 2004 at 5PM EST on ABC. 'Meteora' Touring Cycle Ends With the end of Linkin Park's concert on September 11th in Brazil, their touring cycle in support of 'Meteora' has now come to a close. The band will head to a recording studio in the coming weeks to write and record their new album. We most likely will not see a new album until the last half of 2005, or early-2006.
well I can wait that much time til the new album. cause I'm sure that LP are going to do something new for themselves and for the fans. I think with the last show in brazil and closing up the tour for meteora, they also closed up a chapter. I think they are through with the classical "rap/metal" thing and will come back with a new type of sound. I'm pretty sure that the new record will blow everyone away and show the heavier site of linkin park.
I'm a fan of the rap/rock ness, so..if they didn't make anymore rap/rock songs, that would sadden me, since they got me into it ._.
Don't think LP is going to stop Nu-Metal. Thats what LP was built on. But except a diferent and unique sound(for example:BTH)

you know I really like the way they write lyrics. they should keep that way. but it would be cool if they'd start to write about more different themes. the lyric for breaking the habit is the best I've heard from lp so far. on the new record they should try new sounds. maybe they could make really heavy song, only with chester's frantic screams and razorblade guitars. or a punkrock song, like green day. a completely electronic driven song, with no guitars, no bass, no drums, just electronic background with chester vocals. a rap-track like 'step up' or 'its going down', that would be cool. a rap-vocal mixed song like 'a place for my head'. maybe a song which sounds more grunge, you know like 'the morning after' and a calm song like 'my december'. yeah if the album is like that way, I'll totally fall in love with linkin park music again.
They'll probably keep the sound, but get rid of the lyrical theme of pain, frustration and alienation.
Yeah, thats kind of tired. I'd like to see more melodic songs with mike rapping in some parts, I'd also like to see more of Chester's singing, like in "From The Inside", and in "State Of The Art". And of course a break from the pain themes. I'm sure Linkin Park wont disappoint next time around. Also, I'm glad BTH is moving up on the charts. I've heard it on the radio a couple times. I just hope it stays below #10 (on the Hot 100), we dont need another In The End... And, I'm glad the LPA is back online.
im hoping Jet win.
First off, the reason I don't like jet is because there one of those bands that wanna bring back "arena rock". I mean it was great with GnR and all those bands but it's dead. Just like grunge. Another reason why I don't like Jet is that there lyrics are just like GC, juvinlie. If anyone besides LP should win I'm hoping it's Incubus. But thats just my opinon of course. (if anyone payed attention to the above post and read it through I'm impressed)
I hope im not out f line when i say this, But what happened to the promised new material at Projekt Revolution?
I guess the band meant "Wish" or "Step Up". I don't know why they still consider "Step Up" new material, everyone at the concert most likely knows it.
its bullshit. they didnt play 'step up' the first time or something. they played that song in 2001 and 2002 throughout every show. and to play just 1 cover is a joke allthough its awesome.
So....does anyone one know when theywill enter the studio? and let's hope they'll post some new LPTV episodes..

Over the fifteen-day absence of LPAssociation, we were unable to update the site with news, so here's a recap of what's happened in the last two weeks. God, I'm so happy the site is back up. I thought it was down for good. (That would have sucked!) Linkin Park Nominated For American Music Award That's great - hope they win. Meteora' Touring Cycle Ends Projekt Revoulution is over already? It feels like it just started - that's weird. We most likely will not see a new album until the last half of 2005, or early-2006. Damn, that's a long wait!
