Counterstrike is one of the best computer games. My name on there is His Name Was Robert Paulson (from Fight Club). I would be playing it a lot more, but Steam ####ed up on me. Anyone else play it?
It's good, but it gets annoying once you become one of the better players on the server and become a "hacker." Natural Selection is my new Steam game.
man i loved cs, but then my computer went down the toilet and i had to reformat and i never got to reinstalling it and updating.
It's good fun, like many of you, it seems, I had one of the downloaded versions, until Steam started acting up. I've played it on Xbox a few times in EB, but it's nothing like on the computer, imo.

Thank God the game doesn't have headphones so you can hear the other players, it would be a bunch of cracking, incoherant swearing/IM talk. I've played it for the gameplay, not for the community.
Personally, I find CS to be one of the worst online games I've ever played. Mainly, I can't stand the community, but other things bother me as well. The "strategy" element is way overrated...in my opinion, I think its non-existant. CS is ok if its on a LAN with some friends...but in my mind, Day of Defeat is the game to play. It actually requires teamwork and strategy in a much more effective manner than CS does.
