I agree with the first postings, the demo version of this song is better than the final version. nothing is to compare with chesters screams. its a full suicide driven song. maybe the hardest linkin park song ever, even harder than breaking the habit (just lyrically).
Of course everyone loves the "CUT MYSELF FREE!" scream in the demo, but the rest of the song... I prefer the EP version. If the band had done what they did with the Points of Authority demos (they practically fused them), Part Of Me would be awesomer than it is.
it's funny how most people like all the new songs that are off the newest album... like, as soon SIB got released, ppl were like "omg i love SIB!' and now BTH is released and ppl are saying 'omg! BTH is such a great song' hmmm. one of my favs is Part of Me!!!! i think people lose appreciation for older songs, even though some of them really kick ass and you vould listen to them night and day.
I like the Demo too and this might be a stupid question...but why do they have to versions? Why exactly do they call it a "DEMO"? Why do they even have those?????
Well, we call them demos because the band has created a new version of the song... For example, the Part of Me (demo) was just called Part of Me, but when the band made a new version for it in the HT-EP, we now call that old version "demo", meaning "earlier version of the song".
oh that's cool never knew that till now thanx. 1 more ? 4 ya...Why do they call it Hybrid Theory Extended Play (If that's what EP stands for) why is it called that?
It' An Extended Play, Cause, It's like a Single But with Etended Time To Fit More Songs...............I'm not really sure about that. *looks at avatar* part of me is an awsome song, but the demo sounds better.
I believe that Part of me is awesome. But I have to agree with the others, because the demo sounds better with the chaz's screaming. Everyday I speak to god that LP have to reproduce the ep ( I mean better guitars etc.), but it seems impossible.
