Alter Bridge

I hope to God that's what they're called. I knew it was something along those lines and if it isn't, I'm going to feel like a total idiot. ANYAWYAY, I'm personally looking forward to their new CD, because I was a big Creed fan. Anyone else going to buy the CD? B)

I heard their brand-new song on the radio when I was on my way home from Projekt Revolution. It was fantastic. I don't know if I'll be buying this album right away, but I'll download it when I get a chance to see if I like it. I loved Creed, and Mark Tremonti is a genius with a guitar, so I'll at least like the music.

Personally, they sound a lot like Creed and I can't stand the vocalists voice, Open Your Eyes is OK in the beginning of the song but by the end I can't listen anymore.

 

I'm not going to buy this album. I've heard the songs released before the album and they were ok but nothing special...and not as special as Creed.

 

I was a big Creed fan when their first album came out after that they went to soft for me. I like Alter Bridge even more cuz it's a new spin on Creed with out Scott Stapp( i think thats how you spell it). Anyways i wanna hear atleast 3 songs from a band before i will buy that cd i learned my lesson when i bought th Switchfoot cd but thats naother story for another board area.

 

I've heard 4 songs from this album already, Open Your Eyes, One Day Remains, Find the Real, and Metalingus, and I liked all of them. I actually had inside sources that knew about this album way back in about March/April, when it was supposed to be a side project, before Creed broke up. I'm gonna buy this whenever I get up to Best Buy next, whenever that is...

 

I thought the album was pretty good.

Totally agreed, this new singer they got sounds somewhat like Stapp but he is better. Stapp was kinda weird, he did one good album and another alright album then finall a #### album at the end with Creed. This new lead songer gives Tremonti and the other two guys a new life and by the sounds of this album, a really good life too.

 

I thought that Myles sounded more like Chris Cornell.

I agree totally with that. The vocalist in Alter Bridge is a lot better than Scott Stapp but I still dont like his voice...i dunno what it is, I gave them a shot though :wth:

 

I liked Creed, and so far I like Alter Bridge. They kept what made Creed good, their excellent guitarist.
