Since the radio stations around here play the same 5 songs over and over again, I've been listening to classic rock/metal stations a lot more recently. My friend doesn't have a CD player, so when we go driving around we listen to that station. I'm just curious as to what everyone's favorite 70-80s bands are? Doesn't have to be a specific genre, just whatever you prefer. Mine: Black Sabbath Lynrd Skynrd Guns n Roses Iron Maiden Led Zeppelin Jimi Hendrix Judas Priest
Led Zeppelin Jimi Hendrix Some Black Sabbath Metallica thats about it realy..Although I'm alway widening my musical tastes
don't have one cause i can't stand that stuff! my dad trys to get me to listen to like AC/DC and ect. but i just can't get into it! it bugs me. i don't like the way it sounds and i hate the guitar solos.
I never knew you liked Skynyrd, they are like my second favorite band. So Guns N' Roses and Lynyrd Skynyrd are probably my favorite from that era.
The Cure Janes Addiction Guns N Roses Led Zepplen Youth Of Today The Ramones R.E.M. Some Lynrd Skynrd
The Doors King Crimson Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Queen Genesis Kansas Black Sabbath (80s) Metallica Iron Maiden GnR Jimmi Hendrix AC/DC The Guess Who Rush Steppenwolf Yes Emerson, Lake, & Palmer Deep Purple etc... lol I'm big on late 60s/70s rock especially!!
My favorites are: The Allman Brothers Band Lynyrd Skynyrd AC/DC Rush Led Zeppelin Queen Steely Dan The Who Emerson, Lake, & Palmer Yes The Police ZZ Top The Eagles Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Dire Straits Black Sabbath Steve Miller Band Boston The Doobie Brothers Molly Hatchet Marshall Tucker Band George Thoroughgood War Van Halen Deep Purple Santana Ted Nugent There's more, I'm sure. I was raised on this stuff, as my dad is a huge music fan, and this is the music that led me into the stuff I listen to now. The only rock stations around here are classic rock stations, so I'm pretty much surrounded by it.
