I Dont really know if this has been posted yet so i thought id post it. Greenday have released a new song called American Idiot (Also the name of their new album) Avaliable for streaming their website , Go to the 3rd post down on the site and you will see it. Personally i live the song its great, I can't wait for the new album to come out.
Thank you so much for posting that! The song was on Mtv's The Leak but for some reason my computer wouldn't let me listen to it and I was trying to figure out where else I could listen to it. I didn't even think to go to their site. Wow. This is a pretty good song. I hope the rest of the album is better than it though.
Green Day are my favourite band ever. If the new album is even half as good as any of their stuff since Kerplunk, it will still be great and judging by this song it should live up to expectations. Thanks for the link, Lostprophet.
I heard the song on the way home last night and absolutely hated it. I can't stand political songs and the fact that they bash all of America in the song is ridiculous.
What's there not to hate about America right now? Look at what your president has been doing for the last 4 years.
Yeah, because we all know that bashing every person in the United States is justified because of what a President has done.
Okay, so maybe I was a little wrong in saying that, but the US is seriously screwed up politically, don't you agree?
Yeah, because we all know that bashing every person in the United States is justified because of what a President has done.
But aren't Green Day american?
Will,I do respect your opinion on this song but, Dont you think you should judge a song on the way it sounds and not necaserrely its lyrics, I mean, In my opinion you shouldnt just hate a song because of its lyrics. I Still like the song no matter what and i will be buying their new album when it comes out in September.
Yes, they are.
It shows that they don't suck up to their own country like a lot of people do today. Don't you think it's better when a band sing about their own country's problems than another's?
