I was on the slipknot message boards and I was reading a topic in wich a lot of fans had different views on "the new" slipknot. I was woundering what everyone here thought of them. Have they changed for better or for worse.
I prefer them slightly as they are now. I like their old stuff but the Subliminal Verses is just amazing
I think the old slipknot was a little better cuz i dont like Vol.3 as much as the s/t or IOWA but its still a good cd.
Well i never could get into Slipknot before Vol. 3 was released, so i preffer the new slipknot alot more. The new stuff is making me like the old stuff alot more too.
Well, quite a few of the songs on Vol.3 are old-Slipknot style, but with new elements such as blastbeats and keyboards. Spit It Out is one of my all time favourite songs too, but then there's the travesty that was Iowa, so I'm torn between the two.
Same here. Except for some of the few singles from the last two albums, I couldn't really get into much of their stuff until I heard Vol. 3.
I like the new Slipknot better. I couldn't really get into their music before except for a few songs. "Vol 3" made me a fan of theirs.
Subliminal Verses just completed made me drift away from Slipknot, they used to be one of my top bands but now I can't stand to hear them.
I haven't really listened to Slipknot, except for some hits I heard of theirs. I believe change for a band could lead to a benefit for some people because it gives the band a chance to become more creative with their music. Due to their new album, I have found myself going back and listening to their old albums, which helps me understand the band and they have grown up to be how they are now. I rather listen to a band who keeps things fresh then a band who keeps the same flavor for years and years.
Well i love SK how they were AND how they are I just love them ets joey: hmmm i chose the old because i really liked their old songs (like Wait and bleed, the heretic anthem, etc etc) better but i still love the songs they have now.
