hey guys, I haven't posted my work on LPA for ages... haven't made anything complete for about 7 months anyway. The title comes from the Bridge in the song. I always like doing a little research when I'm writing lyrics and such. Cerebellum - a major division of the vertebrate brain; situated above the medulla oblongata and beneath the cerebrum in humans. LOL, I know you don't have to tell me about my clever song-title techniques. (I also went for my own little song structure on this one.)Anyhow, here it is... "Above Medulla" By John. a. introduction - bounce!! [edit] (just wanted to let you know "bounce!!" really isn't part of the song ) b. verse - trust, is a bond ment to be broken. - love, is just alive in the hopeless. - i've lied enough, i'm done with the cheating. - you've cried so much it's made me speechless. c. chorus - she means everything. - without her i'm nothing. - gimme my chance, i swear i'll take it. - but keep your heart, i'm afraid i'll break it. d. post-chorus - you can go on alone, leave me here. - take a photograph home, i'll soon disappear. e. verse ii - i'd do anything to mend your heart. - pretend the romance isn't far and gone. - but this emotion keeps spreading us apart. - bullet to the cerebellum, i'm dead, so long. f. bridge - bullet... to the cerebellum -- (better dead, goodbye). - bullet to the cerebellum (better dead, goodbye). - bullet to the cerebellum (better dead, GOODBYE)!! - bullet to the cerebellum (better dead, F##K YOU)!!! g. chorus ii - she meant something. - without her i was nothing. - play the hero, or watch me. (...) - as i fall back down to zero.
That's absolutely incredible. My god, you are talented! I especially like the last two lines in "c. chorus". And if I'm correct, the medulla oblongata is the part of the brain which reminds you to breathe, right?
John, i havnt heard or seen any work from you since latter stages of last year, but this is a several leaps of improvement, the lyrics are all-round better, and you pick the best ways to get the songs meaning out, well done
