Who would you pick for prodcuer for the next album? 1st pick: Rick Rubin. He's done alot of rock and rap albums and I think he'd help acheive the right sound. 2nd pick: David Bottrill. He's worked with Tool and Mudvayne and they've had classic albums under his wing. 3rd pick: Johnny K. With the way Finger Eleven rave about him, and the sound of 'Finger Eleven', I'd totally choose this guy. He's also worked with metal bands like Disturbed before. 4th pick: Howard Benson. He's worked with P.O.D, Blindside and Coldand they've all made good albums (including then ridiculously amaizng 'Year of the Spider').
I'd actually want to see Mike produce the next album. He had good ideas with Reanimation, so why not the next one?
Choice 1 - Eric Valentine (Lostprophets, Queens Of The Stone Age) He May have the sound they are looking for, Ive not heard an album thats been a bad album where hes been the producer, Hes supposedly very good to work with aswell Choice 2 - Rick Rubin.(Slipknot, Pink Floyd) Amazing, Just amazing im not sure what to say but i know hed be great, Not sure if hed want to work with LP though. Choice 3 - Mike Shinoda, It would be interesting.
1) Mike Shinoda... because its so obvious 2) The Neptunes... they work with everyone, and besides, that would be an interesting combo... it would be like every song is Nobody's Listening, with the weird sounds and stuff... hah... 3) David Bottrill... for the reason that Mark gave
It'd have to be someone who the critics wouldn't give credit to for creating a better album. Someone who would bring out the best in the band while not driving them insane, bombarding them with 'fixes', re-writes, and re-dos. They should just work on it together, view what they've created as a whole, and then pick out the things they don't think work in the scope of the whole record. But not to the point where "the scope of the whole record" becomes "all the songs centered on one idea or point of view".
Yeah. But Mike already ruled that out, I think. [/b][/quote] That's a shame because only Linkin Park would know what they want in their next record. Not Don, not Rick, not anyone else.
1. Wes Borland: I think, with his ideas he would make a great producer. However, even if he wanted to he probably wouldn't have time if he's rejoined limpbizkit. 2. Mike Shinoda: I like it when an actual band member does the producing. It shows independence. And as Derek says, only the band themselves know how they want the music to sound. 3. Rick Rubin: He's worked wonders with Slipknot and The Beastie Boys in the past. He pretty much invented rap-metal.
1. Rick Rubin - Rap-rock king. Period. 2. Trent Reznor - Original, original. Nows how to manipulate sound and textures. Doesn't stick to "verse choruse verse bridge." First single on The Fragile didn't even have a drum track. 3. Mike Shinoda - He's in the band and knows want the band wants. Did wonders of Krwlng so that trumps the "It'll be all rap songs if he produces it!" argument. The man can do basically anything musically and artistically.
I'll hope mike produces it himself , then the band can do what they want , what kind of invluences the want to use .When you use a producer (outside the band) the band never can't do completly their own thing. If mike whil not produce the album I personlly hope some hip hop producer , becauses meteora wasn't that much hip hop. If I chose a second producer the neptunus they are so musical they can handle with all kinds of music , But still I prefer mike
I don't know that much about producers :wth: (names) But from the begining from xero to meteora , their albums have becomes less hip hop (reanimation not included) . If they contact a rock producer the album will be more rock less hip hop , I know mike can do a lot of stuff not only rapping But he must pick up his rhymes again. If he doesn't lp will loose their old sound ,which is a lot better then meteora I think . They must contact A hip hop producer, I don't think they will loose their rock part , because the guitare and bass stays So it will be rocky B)
I agree. i don't think mike would overdo it with the rap, he's a cool guy, he'll always be listening to the rest of the band. If the whole band works together to produce the album it'll probably be awesum.
*cough* Or you could have said the Neptunes or Kanye West, but yeah I feel your point. But you know... on the harder scale too... if not a collaberation, than maybe a little more love from Static X. I think that'll give LP a harder sound, and then do another track with the Neptunes. Like, have different producers for different tracks. But trust me, if the Neptunes were to produce the next album... holy crap... imagine what that would be like... :chemist: sounds like fun
