I suppose it's not really THAT serious, but I just wanted to say something about how ironic it is that my dad is the only other person in my family besides me who likes LP and he refuses to let me go to one of their concerts because he doesn't think I'll be able to handle myself (I'm 14) even if he goes with me. He thinks I'll get in to drugs and stuff from all the people that bring pot and crap to concerts like this. I know he's trying to look out for me and stuff, but don't you think I'm old enough to make my own decisions wether or not to do drugs? I mean really, I've been offered drugs before and have turned them down in a heartbeat. And anyway, two of my friends went to an AFI concert, they were in the pit for heavens sake and they were just fine.
I was at a concert (all day long thing with a ton of bands) and everyone around me was smoking weed and I've never touched the sh*t and dont plan on it....besides, if you go to a concert, its not like weed is easily accessible for free, Im sure you'd have to pay a lot for it.
I'd imagine there isn't any pot at a Linkin Park concert. Lollapalooza? Sure. Ozzfest? Maybe. Linkin Park Concert? Doubt it.
Just allow him to be right by your side 24/7 at the concert, it'll be hard for him to argue against it.
Just because they are Linkin Park, doesn't mean that fans won't bring weed to a concert. If there is a Linkin Park fan who smokes weed and goes to an LP concert i'm sure thats not gonna stop him from smoking it there.
Perhaps, but I know a lot of his fans around here toke up every chance they get. I'll laugh when they're making sure my fries are piping hot in about five years.
From what I heard from some concert goers, he was appearently smoking MJ when he came up to play in Prince George.
At both LP concerts i went to, Tons of people around me were smoking weed, But, then again i do live in Scotland,
It really does disgust me. Concerts aren't for that sort of thing - it's just for the music. If I were you, I'd concentrate on just the music and having fun. If you do that then temptation will fark off and bug someone else. All there is to it, really >_>
you know what's even more ironic? MY dad likes linkin park too, even has their cd's and stuff, but acts like he doesn't when he is in front of my mom. it gets worse. he tried to blame my depression on the music i listen to, and didn't have an answer for me when i pointed out that he listens to the same music i do. how crazy is that?!
that's really strange if he thinks it's the music that puts you in depression .In my case and probably even yours, music helps take my mind off the crap that keep turning in my head . The harder the music..the better the effect BUt in any case, you have a good point your dad can't argue against
