The news reminded me of American Idol just now, so I thought I'd bring it up. Auditions begin on August 4th in Cleveland, Ohio, and, from there, will go to Washington, D.C., Orlando, Florida, St. Louis, Missouri, New Orleans, Louisianna, Las Vegas, Nevada, Anchorage, Alaska, and San Francisco, California. Will any of you be going to any of the auditions? If you know someone who is going, how far do you think they'll get? I was going to go to the Cleveland audition, but it's the day before Projket Revolution and I plan on resting up for that. But the girl I have a crush on, Connie, is going to be there (hopefully) and I actually think she's going to at least get into the top 16. She's got an amazing voice and has won a lot of awards for her vocals locally.
If I knew someone who was in Canadian Idol, I wouldn't know if I should cheer for them, or feel sorry for them because they were selling their souls to the corporate machine.
I'd love to see Will too and I'm sure he'd do a great job but unless he's going to sing like he's the next Backstreet Boy then he won't make it past the first audition. American Idol isn't interested in anyone who has some real, unique talent.
Does Will have real unique talent outside of writing? I've never heard him sing anything :wth: ... *gets awful idea* "Association Idol" :chemist:
Keaton and I are planning that. Anyway, I'd go, but I don't have a "pretty" voice. I have a rock voice, so I wouldn't sound good at all. Plus, I plan on spending August 4th resting up for Projekt Revolution on August 5th. My friend Jake and I were going to do a duet but... yeah.
I'd only go if the name was "Metal Idol" and i'd sing anything Cvalera has written. probably "Roots Bloody Roots" =P
i'd be great if one of the guyz from here gets to the top...n it seems everyone's rooting for Will....so i follow the bandwagon!! go Will go
I was going to sing "The Reason," but I don't know if that's one of the songs in one of the genres that they banned. It doesn't matter now, anyway, since I'm not going.
