At the start of the high voltage version 2 (not EP or reanimation) theres a short bit of the end of cure for the itch. Why is this becuase to my knowledge there is no official album where high voltage version 2 comes after cure for the itch unless its an LP underground CD,could someone explain this? :wth:
Yeah, Linkin Park (well Joe more accurately), re-use a fair few samples. There's a High Voltage sample in Nobody's Listening and a sample of Points of Authority in Kyur4 Th Ich. There's even a Step Up sample in It's Goin' Down.
No, the reason the sound from the end of "Cure For The Itch" is at the end of "High Voltage" is because "High Voltage" was cut from the Hybrid Theory before it was released. Had it been left in there, "Cure For The Itch" would've faded right into "High Voltage," but since it wasn't there, the end of "Cure For The Itch" simply faded out.
Thats dumb they cut it from the album,if you ask me I reckon they should of included all of the EP tracks in Hybrid Theory But why cut songs from an album :wth:
Sometimes in production, they think the song doesn't match the rest of the album so they cut it thusly making it a "b-side." I don't know why they cut it, but they do it for a reason.
There is also a Dedicated sample in "Its Goin Down" at the beginning when there is a "watch them flee" sample scratched
The ending of Breaking the Habit also has a sample from High Voltage, the soldiers marching, it's just slowed down a lot. As for the song being cut, maybe it was because the song didn't have Chester or Brad in it very much, and Don wanted the album to be an equal showcase for the entire band? *shrugs* I dunno, I personally love the song, and it's one of their best live tracks too.
The drum beat of 'Dedicated' is noticable in 'Nobody's Listening' and the guitar sound of 'Its Goind Down' I rock B)
Well if that was the case then how can u explain one step closer or don't stay etc. where mike has next ot no role in the song at all, percides chester is in the high voltage he says ''sometimes i feel like a prophet, misunderstood, under the gun like a new disease'' x2 in the song
Maybe it was cut because High Voltage doesn't really fit with the rest of the Hybrid Theory album. Hybrid Theory is a showcase of the rockier side of Linkin Park, with the exception of "Cure For The Itch" obviously. Whereas High Voltage is an great example of the Hip-Hop side of Linkin Park. It's a great song in itself but it doesn't really fit with the rest of the album IMO.
