I think it is an absolutly amazing song. Linkin Park have perfected the mixing of the rap and rock. The song evenly distributes the vocals between Chester and Mike and they just flow together so perfectly. And the lyrics, words cant describe them, just simply amazing. Final Score: 9.5/10 Well done Linkin Park.
I am in a state of nothingness , i am speechless of the amazingness of sib , i predicted the exact response from this song
Ya we want LP to improve themselves but not completely change. If u dont like the old LP your not likly to like the new LP -------------------
you have a good dad, mine made fun of their name when I mentioned them. He still prefers oldies.... anyways, the song simply kicked ass. I heard the rip yesterday but it was low quality, and at school I came here and got a higher quality version but didn't really hear it until my drive home from school (I was there till 9PM..dont ask) when the radio played it and it was awesome. Im listening to it right now. This song is by far the best LP song released so far
Why do u want LP to change? they kicked ass with hybrid theory so whay change something that ####### rules
Yah this new song is wicked. It's gonna be huge for LP. I like how Chester has definitely matured and mastered his art of rock. But as for Mike he sounded a bit different than on HT, but i mean it is different in a good way. He really didn't lay down the music like his normal rap style which is cool. I am sure that you will hear Mike rapping on other songs in Meteora. It shows that LP is willing to experiment a bit. While experimenting they still sound f###ing awesome.
Yes it definately is! I can't wait to hear Mike's faster rapping on the song Nobody's Listening though.
SIB = Kick@$$ B) And i aggree with most of you guys, but i really think linkin park has fine tuned their music, and made it even better, the rapping and rock smooth together, The diffrent elements of LP have fuzed together better, Chester has gotten better....everything. Bottom line - Lp, Kicked before, Kicks even more now
Definitely a good song to put out as the first single... sure got my attention. Definitely like the song. Last year Rolling Stone called Mike "Flow Challenged" or something along those lines, at first I was pissed, but the more I listened to other emcees, I realized it was atleast partly true. It definitely sounds like he has gotten better on this album. The dynamics are excellent, especially in the vocals. I give this song a 9/10 By the way... did anyone else notice that the intro is on the LP DVD? Mike says something along the lines of "This is the product of Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn and Chester Bennington" I think... It's when they're in the back of the bus in the studio.
Somewhere I Belong was definately an awesome song... I was highly anticipating their new single release after Hybrid Theory and the Remix Album "Reanimation" (which kicked @ss also)... LP has definately done it again. I think the song sounded very similar to the Hybrid Theory style except with a more clean twist to it. It flowed better then the rest. Just gives you a little taste of how freakin awesome Meteora will be
SIB is definately much more mature sounding and has that great LP feel to it! Chester screams so awesome in the bridge! :chaz:
To all the people who are complaining that SIB should be a little harder, I mean it was pretty much just as hard as In the End. SO I don't know why everybody thinks LP is a band that does hard music. Sure they do but they do a mix of stuff. I am sure that there will be songs on Meteora that will be harder, perhaps "Breaking the Habit" but i mean SIB was freakin awesome.
